The SCW Marching Band preparing to showcase their show during the evening at West Fest.

On August 13th, St. Charles West High School hosted its second annual “West Fest” in order to show off some of the high school athletes, the marching band, and allow for members of the community to participate in various booth games.  The day started out with a parade of athletes from the various fall sports (football, girl’s volleyball, softball (fall season), girl’s and boy’s cross country, and girl’s tennis) as well as year round sports (cheerleading, dance and drill) and also showcased the SCW marching band.  It then continued with scrimmages from the various fall sports.

In order to allow the community to participate, booth games were held in the Jefferson Intermediate School’s parking lot, with various clubs and sports teams hosting the booths.  In addition, a Kona Ice truck was parked with the games for a cold treat.

Overall, the day was a huge success as many St. Charles families came out and participated to support St. Charles West.  Thank you to everyone who came out!
