SCW Fall Activities Assembly (Photo Gallery)
On September 9th, St. Charles West student council hosted their first assembly of the year at Terry Hollander court. The assembly started with introductions of the student council officers: senior president Claire Mascia and junior vice president Julia Steele. After introductions, St. Charles West’s building principal Dr. Scott Voelkl recognized the various advanced placement (AP) scholars throughout the school. During the assembly, various games such as trash bag fashion shows and “Red Light, Green Light” were played amongst the students. In addition, Dance and Drill and Cheerleading showed off their routines, and the senior class was given the spirit stick for the first time in four years. Senior Claire Mascia commented on the assembly’s success.
“I think our assembly was awesome for our first try. We’re going to get better as we go, and even though we had some kinks we managed to work them out. We had awesome participation and a great student body,” says student council president Claire Mascia.
