For this senior sendoff, our senior is Katie Powell! Katie is planning on attending the University of Missouri-Saint Louis (or UMSL for short), to study actuarial science. As of now, Katie is working at JJ’s Diner as a hostess and food runner; “I’ve been there for almost two years now and I really love the people I have gotten to know”. 

Between work and school, Katie also enjoys photography! She’s able to use this passion as a part of the 2022-2023 Yearbook team. Before she did yearbook, Katie was in the St. Charles West band for three years playing the flute. Overall though, she said her favorite memory of West was “having parties in Ms. Bourgeades AIP”. 

Overall, Katie said she’s looking forward to college. “I’m a little nervous about how college is gonna go, but I’m very happy to be moving forward!” Good luck Katie!
