Claire Horstmann is known at St. Charles West for her outgoing personality and her great sense of humor. Horstmann is the captain of the three time state winning cross country team. She also participates in soccer, NHS, STUCO, FTA, Key Club, Welcome Ambassadors and FCA, and makes her mark on anyone who interacts with her.

 In her free time, Horstmann likes to watch movies at home with her family, play soccer, go for runs, and hang out with her friends. Horstmann is a great person on and off the field and constantly leads by example. “Claire is an extremely hard worker and passionate about her running. She has been a big part of our team all throughout high school”, said fellow teammate Genna Wacker about Horstmann’s high school cross country career. 

Next year, Horstmann plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) to run cross country (on scholarship),  and major in Education at either the elementary or middle school level.
