Just like many other seniors, Genna Wacker has enjoyed her high school years, going to sporting events, playing sports in high school, and spending time with her friends. Wacker has been a part of girls cross country, girls soccer, girls track, newspaper, and NHS.
Wacker ran on the Varsity girls team that placed second in state her freshman year. She has also been a part of the girls team that was state champs 3 years in a row. Wacker has been an all state runner all four years of high school having a huge impact on the teams success. “Getting to win state with some of my best friends was an awesome experience.” Wacker said.
Wacker is also a part of the girls varsity soccer team in the spring. Wacker helped the team to win their first district championship in a few years. She was one of the team’s key players all season. “Genna is a great teammate, she’s very encouraging on the field and helps out with everyone’s mindset. She is a great captain and a great person on and off the field.” Riley McGuire said.
After Wacker graduates high school in May, she plans to attend the University of Missouri Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) where she will continue her running career – on scholarship – and major in Engineer management.
