On December 28, 2024, Alex Nicastro scored her 1,000th point in the St. Dominic Tournament against the Sikeston bulldogs. Nicastro scored a season best of 29 points in the game, shooting 12-27 from the field. Nicastro also had a solid 7 rebounds contributing to her teams win, as well as a milestone accomplishment for herself. The game ended in a win for the Warriors with a final score of 57-51.
“It was amazing to hit a great accomplishment with my friends and teammates cheering me on,” Nicastro said when asked about the game.
The 1,000 point ceremony will be held on January 23rd at the home game against Bayless in between the girls and boys varsity games. Congratulations to Nicastro on this amazing achievement, good luck in the rest of the postseason.
