With all the teachers at St. Charles West, Mr. Joshua Ball stands out. Teaching world civilization and AP world history, Ball teaches primarily sophomores. His style of teaching is effective for students, helping them have good grades. Helping coach football and wrestling, Ball has created strong bonds with the people here at West.
Madelyn Augustine, Ball’s student teacher, has worked with Ball for about a year. “Mr. Ball is a fantastic mentor. He has helped me grow as a teacher a lot! There isn’t a question I have that he can’t answer. He’s always there to support me through my own learning process and to show me the ropes of the school. He cares about his students a lot, and he takes a lot of time to get to know them and understand them both as learners and as people. He has taught me the value in using my time effectively for sure! Working with him has been amazing, and we really are a well oiled machine,” said Augustine.
Ball’s students also agree that he is an excellent teacher. “ said sophomore Hannah Rosen about her world civilization class.
Ball continues to create a welcoming environment in his classroom and we can’t wait to see how else he will help his students in the future.
