Girls basketball falls to Winfield 61-55
On Tuesday, January 31st, the St. Charles West girls’ basketball program faced the Winfield Warriors in a conference matchup. The West Warriors just came off a huge conference win against the Orchard Farm Eagles, playing into the momentum for last night’s game. In the first quarter, the West Warriors put up a fight and went in the lead 12-2. By halftime, the West Warriors were up 22-20. By the third quarter, the West Warriors trailed the Winfield Warriors 39-37. Trailing by two points, the Warriors managed to put up a fight and tie the game 49-49, sending the game to overtime. Overall, the West Warriors lost the basketball game 61-55, bringing their conference record to 2-3. Amazing effort ladies!
