Marcus is a roughly 1 and a half year old Akita. He was brought in as a stray and is now on the lookout for his forever home. Marcus can be a handful (he has a lot of energy!) so he is looking for a forever home with people who have had experience with working dogs and can keep him mentally stimulated. Marcus needs to be the only dog in the home. He does, however, play well with some other dogs. Because of the amount of energy Marcus has, he would like to go home with older kids (15+). Marcus is great at walking on a leash and would LOVE to be included in everything his new family is doing. Marcus is a good boy who loves to run around in the yard, go on hikes, and (once he’s gotten his energy out) cuddle on the couch! *UPDATE: After a long stay at 5 Acres, Marcus was adopted on August 14, 2021! He went home as an only child with his mom who has lots of experience dealing with the Akita quirks and energy!
