SC West’s annual spring musical has just concluded. The Wizard of Oz, as directed by Mr. Lenger, is a classic story following Dorothy (played  by Anna Stichter) as she adventures into the magical land of Oz. Other cast members include Gabi Mathews as the Wicket Witch of the West, Alyssa Riegerix as Scarecrow, Jai Renwick as Cowardly Lion, Julia Kean as Tin man, and Lilli Robbins as Glinda the Good Witch.

The show was going very well for the first two nights, but on the third and final day, a stressful situation occurred. One of the two people that worked the spotlights couldn’t make it. Fifteen minutes to the curtain opening, dressing room crew member Ellana Kemp had to work the spotlight for the first time. “It was scary and stressful because I had never done anything like that, but it was also fun and a good learning experience,” said Kemp on her last minute new job.

Overall, the musical went great and was another amazing show from the SC West players.
