Throughout high school, Brady Kilker has been very involved in lots of clubs and activities during his four years at Saint Charles West. He’s been a part of the soccer team for 3 years, the basketball team for 4 years, and the baseball team for 4 years. His favorite moments from highschool sports were during baseball season freshman and sophomore year. Kilker said, “my favorite memory is the 2 district championships we won, especially the 2nd one after we overcame the trauma of the injuries at Winfield”. Throughout his four years playing baseball for West he has achieved many goals. “My biggest accomplishment was the first game of sophomore year going 3-4 with 3 doubles and jumpstarting our season with a win”, Kilker said as he discussed his past 3 baseball seasons. One of his friends, Adam Caulk said his favorite with Brady throughout baseball was “when St Dominic hit a walk off homerun against him to blow the game”.
In school, Kilker is also involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and National Honor Society. He has been a part of FCA all four years and NHS his senior year of highschool. He enjoys FCA because he gets to “get together with my peers and talk about our faith. I think it’s really cool that we have a lot of highschool kids that can be a light in our school”.
Outside of school Kilker also has a pretty busy schedule. He has played basketball for 10 years through the Saint Charles West feeder team and played club baseball for 13 years with the Midwest Rebels. He also has a brother, Ethan Kilker, a sophmore here at West. Ethan said, “my favorite thing about Brady is the fact that he drives and takes me places”. It’s awesome that he and his brother have such a tight relationship.
After highschool, Kilker plans to go to college and play baseball. His goal is to major in some type of media, but he is undecided on exactly what path he will take.
We will miss Brady’s leadership and the funny personality he brings to West after he leaves!
