Kids Against Hunger is an organization that raises money through fundraising to get supplies for feeding families around the world who aren’t able to provide food on their own. FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) sponsor, Jeremy Jackson, and the FCA Huddle leaders have set up a fundraiser right here at St. Charles West.
AIPs around the school created volleyball teams to compete for a prize- Raising Cane’s chicken.
The results of the AIP volleyball games:
Maroon Div. Skeeter McCheese from Mrs. Gnau’s AIP
Eden Hollander, Caroline Quinn, Ava Becker, Zorea Shaw, Avery Sikma, Riley McGuire, Chase Buehrle
White Div. One Hit Wonders from Mr. Scott’s AIP
Austin Martin, Chriz Perez, Luca Biuffrida, Brandon Richards, Elijah DeClue, Evelyn Isom, Howard Matthews, Haley Wicker
During AIP, students who donated had the option to go help pack food for the Kids Against Hunger program. They could also get a snow cone from Kona Ice or a drink from Tom’s Coffee Truck.
Another incentive that students had to donate money was the opportunity to tape their administrators to lunch tables by buying pieces of duct tape at lunch. This was also another chance for the organization to put more money towards the Kids Against Hunger goal.
