Have you ever wondered what the world might be like without the possibility of death? Disease or natural disasters cannot take you, revival is an option if it was to happen, you live as an immortal? Well, except for the reapers of course. In the story Scythe by Neal Shusterman, citizens are randomly selected and “gleaned” by Scythes (reapers). Of course being given that kind of god-like power over life and death, it has to come with some consequences.
