The next senior the SCW Today Staff would like to commemorate is Jacqueline Gurley.  Jacqueline has been apart of FCA, Key Club, NHS, Welcome Ambassadors, HOSA, StuCo, SCW varsity swim, SCW varsity volleyball, Sister Cities Ireland Exchange, and part of the SCW orchestra.  Her favorite memory at SCW was the 2022 swim GACs where she medaled for the first time in the 200 medley relay.

“It was so fun being able to win with my teammates in my last season and cheer everyone else on as they swam their events!” says Jacqueline Gurley.

This fall, she will be attending Southwest Baptist University to double major in Exercise Science and Intercultural Studies while being a part of SBU’s honors college.  She hopes to become a physical therapist in the near future and she already has a spot in SBU’s Physical Therapy Graduate Program through High School Early Acceptance.  She also commented on her advice to the future underclassmen who go through the courses and studies of St. Charles West.

“Say yes to the opportunities that come – even if they scare you a little – because you’ll never know what it could lead to until you try it!” says Gurley.

Something she would leave behind to SCW is her knowledge and wisdom to her little brother: Jacob Gurley.

Congratulations on your accomplishments at SCW, Jacqueline! Good luck in your future endeavors!
