Six members of the track team qualify for state meet
On Saturday, May 21st, the members of the St. Charles West track team who qualified for sectionals competed in the Montgomery Country track meet in order to determine which members of the team would go to state.
The first person to qualify for the state meet was senior Hannah Myers on the high jump. This is the second year Hannah has qualified for the state meet in track and field.
Additionally, the 4×800 also qualified for state, consisting members Avery Jackson, Genna Wacker, Lily Jackson, and Alivia Zeier.
With that being said, freshman Kyle Cotton qualified for state with a 4th place in javelin at the sectional meet, and senior Hannah Myers placing 4th in the high jump, a state qualifying score.
Finally, in the two mile, two people from St. Charles West qualified. These two members of the track team are senior Lily Jackson and freshman Genna Wacker. Additionally, senior Lily Jackson qualified for state in the 1600.
