Brandon Richard is a senior here at St. Charles West, and has been an active member of the West community all four years. Richard is involved in many sports, including: football, track, and track. He also participates in band, where he plays the saxophone. His main sport is track, where he picked up a trip to sectionals as well as state. When asked his favorite memory, he replied, “shadow boxing random people”. Richard has been a member of MAC Scholars all four years of high school, and this year is the president. He originally joined MAC Scholars to connect with other students of color and to help give him college and job awareness. His favorite part of MAC Scholars is helping other students participate in showing their school spirit. Outside of school, you can find Richard bussing tables, or with his brother Brendon who also attends West. After high school, Richard plans to attend an HBCU, but is not fully committed to a certain one yet. He plans to either go for track or marching band, but is ultimately still undecided. We all will miss Richard, but know he will do great things in the future with his great leadership qualities, funny personality, and his strong mindset. Congratulations and good luck from the West community to Richard!
