SCW advances to championship game with win against Winfield (Photo Gallery)

Yesterday night, the St. Charles West boys basketball team faced the Winfield Warriors at Terry Hollander Court for the semifinal matchup in the Class 4 District 7 Tournament. During the game, both teams stayed neck and neck throughout the first quarter. However, after the first quarter St. Charles West had a breakthrough and punched into the lead. St. Charles West ended up winning with a score of 79-57, a considerable margin and phenomenal victory for the boy’s basketball program.
The win is extremely crucial for the boys, and it punched a ticket to the district championship on Friday, March 4th. The boys will play at home for a chance at a sectional game as the road to state continues for the team.
