SCW Football defeats SCHS for 17th consecutive year

On Friday, October 14th, the St. Charles West football team faced the St. Charles High School’s Pirates in the last conference matchup for the Warriors.  Additionally, the game marked St. Charles West’s 43rd annual homecoming game.  To start the game, junior Jack Anzalone ran for a one yard touchdown, bringing the score to 7-0 with the Warriors in the lead.   In the second quarter, junior Morgan Regot ran for a one yard touchdown, with junior Ryan Beer’s successful extra point.  This brought the score to 14-0. Later in the second quarter, junior Morgan Regot ran for his second touchdown of the game with a failed extra point, which brought the score to 20-0, leaving the Pirates scoreless at the half.

During halftime, members of the homecoming court were introduced to the audience.  This included Harrison Hendrickson, Hala Ghannam, Savannah Clark, CJ Large (freshmen), Chase Buehrle, Kleyton Crate, Nicholas Mascia, Savanna Eaton (sophomores) Vivian Jones, Cole Severs, Alivia Zeier, Tanner Durham (juniors), Elena Scheve, Parker Ledbetter, Barry Thomas, Carolina Guerrero, Elise Beer, Andrew Wacker, Hayley Lewis, Louis Dieckmann, Ella Smith, and Rolen Moore (seniors).  Additionally, the 2022 homecoming king and queen were announced, giviinjg Louis Dieckmann and Hayley Lewis (both seniors) the titles.

By the end of the third quarter, the score was 27-0.  In the fourth quarter, junior Jack Anzalone ran for four yards, with a failed two point conversion.  This brought the score to 33-0. The Pirates managed to score one touchdown and a two point conversion in the fourth, but the Warriors ended up winning the game overall.  The final score was 40-8.

Additionally, the Warriors were named conference champions with a 4-0 conference record.  Congratulations to the Warriors for a successful football season!
