They both die in the end is a novel about two boys Mateo and Rufus who are complete strangers but are looking to have a friend on their last day on earth and meet through the app there are people who call you called death casters who let you know that you will die within the next 24 hours. When both boys receive this call they go on the app called last friend so they don’t die alone you go through the book reading what they do on their last day alive the novel focuses on themes like the importance of friendship and the experiences of LGBTQ+ teens of color as you may know from the title they both die in the end of this novel there is also a second to this book which is a prequel called The First to Die in the End both by the same author Adam Silvera.
