Madeleine and Connor Stockmann are one set of seniors who happen to be twins here at West.
When asked about what it was like to have a twin, Maddy said, “Being a twin is great, it’s like you have a built-in best friend and we’ve also been able to learn so much from each other.”
Connor follows up with, “It’s a little weird to be honest, but it’s nice to have a friend your age your entire life. You also get a lot of questions about how we were raised.”
Even though they are twins they have different hobbies and interests. Maddy loves hanging out with her girlfriends, Sydney Ebertowski, Alysia Wood, and Rachel Williams; they stay up way too late playing Fortnite when she isn’t working at Bar Louie as a hostess and busser. She also loves to hang out with her boyfriend, Jake Duffner, who graduated from here in 2022.
Connor, however, enjoys listening to music in the nu-metal, grunge, and shoegaze genres. He also plays lots of card games, physical and online.
When asked what they plan on doing after high school Connor said, “I’m planning on going to Mizzou for architectural design/studies. After that, I want to eventually become an architect and maybe even start my own firm.”
Maddy wants to take a different path; she plans on going to Lindenwood for Social Work or Psychology. She said she’s excited to live on her own but feels it’s going to be strange not being able to go across the hall to annoy her brother whenever she wants.
Maddy and Connor do share one thing, what they’ll miss the most about West. Maddy says, “I am going to miss my friends the most. Most of my really close friends are not in my senior class, so I will miss getting to see them everyday.” Connor said, “My friends I’ve made here that I won’t get to see, but I’m still very excited for the future ahead of me!”
Maddy and Connor will definitely be missed by many of their friends and teachers here at West, but they’re going to have such bright and happy futures ahead of them!
