Abby Hallam is a senior here at St Charles West. She has been a very involved and hard-working student throughout her high school career, participating in a wide variety of sports, clubs and activities.
Hallam has been very involved in her four years here at SCW, participating in sports and activities such as: cross country, track, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), yearbook, National Honor Society (NH), and a team manager for the SCW football team. Within the many activities and sports she participates in, she holds important roles within these activities. For example, Hallam is a leader in FCA and is the main school photographer for our football team, as well as being an officer for NHS. Out of all the activities she participates in, Hallam said that her favorite was track because, “I’ve gotten super close with the girls and I love competing.”
Hallam says she is very excited for senior year and all the events that come along with being a senior. “It’s definitely bittersweet but you get a lot of freedom and fun opportunities,” said Hallam. Her motivation throughout her high school career has been, “My relationship with the Lord. He has put me in a position to be a light and share the gospel.”
Outside of school you can find her in a lot of places. Hallam says that she loves anything that has to do with hiking and camping. Hallam also says she loves to stay active and her favorite way to do that is running. You may also find her hanging out with her friends or at church.
After high school Hallam has big plans. She is planning on attending the Salon Professional Academy to pursue a career in cosmetology. She says that five years from now she hopes that she will be living in the same neighborhood as her parents, with a successful career in doing hair.
You may have seen her down on the football field taking pictures, or running a race on the track, always being an involved, supportive, and consistent student. SCW will miss you Abby.
