Isabelle O’Connell is a senior here at St. Charles West. Known for her unique outfits and expressive makeup, being a part of the varsity volleyball team and being the social media manager for the new SCSD United Speech and Debate team, O’Connell is a very influential person at West.

O’Connell has been a part of the varsity volleyball team since her sophomore year and was a captain her junior year. During O’Connell’s volleyball career, her greatest accomplishment is getting second all team conference during her junior year. “I loved getting the opportunity to join the volleyball team after transferring to West in 2023.” Also playing for Rockwood Thunder Club Volleyball Team, volleyball is a huge part of her life.
O’Connell’s closest friends at West include Cash Buehler, Vivian Frick, Vivian Joyce and her best friend, Esme Picker. “Isabelle and I have been friends for 6 years. Over that time, she has become more like a sister to me. She is consistently there for me and I’m confident that we’ll always be friends,” Picker said
Outside of school, you can find O’Connell thrifting at the Goodwill Bins, sewing and designing clothes, eating at Steak ‘n Shake and spending time with friends. After high school, O’Connell plans to study fashion and become a famous fashion designer. Everyone should expect to see O’Connell on the cover of a fashion magazine one day. Good Luck, Isabelle!
