Zorea Shaw is a senior here at St. Charles West. Known for her kind personality, Shaw brings light to all who talk to her at West. “I haven’t known Zorea my whole life. Actually, we met each other in eighth grade, and yet, I’d still say she’s my absolute day one. I mean truly the most loyal person I know. Never more than a call or text away, she’s always willing to help,” Payton Hammack, her close friend, said. “She is my biggest critic and hype woman all in one. I honestly don’t know what I would do without her in my life.”

Shaw has been a part of the varsity softball team and the girls wrestling since her freshman year. Being a captain of the softball team for her senior year, Shaw has made quite the impact on those around her. “Zorea is a great teammate and always keeps people in check during softball games and practice,” Emylie Blassingame, her teammate, said.
During her time in these sports, some of Shaw’s greatest accomplishments include winning the state championship in both 2023 and 2025 as well as winning the world series in 2024 and 2025 with her club softball team, the Blue Devils. She also made it to the state competition her junior year for wrestling and helped her team get fourth.
After graduating high school a semester early, Shaw plans on working full time. She will be attending St. Louis Community College and be a part of the dental hygiene program. She plans on having her associates degree by the spring of 2027. Good Luck Zorea!
