Annabelle Williams is a senior here at St. Charles West. She has been a part of varsity cheer since her sophomore year when her friend, Kendyl Whitehorn, influenced her to join. This year she is not only a captain, but also on the competition team. Annabelle gets along with all of her teammates, as well as her coaches. Ashley Stanich, coach of SC West cheer, describes Annabelle as a hard working athlete. Stanich also says that she is so happy that she gets to coach such an amazing person like Annabelle.
Outside of school, you can find Annabelle working at Dewey’s Pizza, where she is a hostess and food runner. When asked about working with Annabelle, her coworker, Trevion Johnson, said “Annabelle is fun to work with. We have fun and she always gets herself into funny situations.” You can also find Annabelle at her house reading, watching Jersey Shore, and drinking a Dr. Pepper.
Annabelle is adored by the people here at West. Known for her abrupt sense of humor, she can truly make anyone laugh. Mrs. Weil is one of her favorite teachers. “Annabelle is a student that teachers love having in class! I especially liked teaching her because she got my jokes! She joined my AIP last year and she has been a great addition. She is kind and supportive of our group and always willing to help out,”said Weil when asked about Annabelle.
Annabelle’s favorite memory from her time at West was being in Mrs. Lavezzi’s AIP. “We played games, talked, and it’s where I met my first couple of friends at West,” said Annabelle about her time in the AIP. After high school, Annabelle plans to go to William Woods or Missouri Baptist and cheer in college. She plans to be an early education teacher somewhere in this district. No matter where she ends up, everyone at SC West will miss Annabelle and her sense of humor.
